Militants strike again in Srinagar, 3 cops injured in grenade attack | KNO

Srinagar, January 17 (KNO) : Suspected militants lobbed on Thursday lobbed a grenade on policemen near Zero Bridge Rajbagh area of Srinagar on Thursday, leaving three cops injured. The explosion created panic in the area and people rushed towards safer places. An official told KNO that that the grenade exploded near Zero Bridge, Rajbagh side, leading to injuries. He said that it will be too early to say who is behind the attack. Three cops, including two of traffic police and Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of police manning the traffic were injured in the blast. The injured were quickly taken to medical facility. Police officials have rushed to the spot to take stock of situation. Meanwhile, forces launched search operations in Rajbagh area post a grenade attack. According to an official reinforcement was rushed to the place of incident and the area has been cordoned. He said that the area will be sanitized. He said that it will be too early to say who is behind the attack. (KNO)
